Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my ioniser is working correctly?

Check the indicator light on your unit and test your pool water using a copper ion test kit. Ion levels should be between 0.2–0.4 ppm for pools.

How often should I replace the electrodes?

Electrode lifespan depends on usage and pool size. Typically, electrodes last 1–3 seasons. Refer to your product manual for specific guidance.

What pool size is the NEC-20 suitable for?

The NEC-20 is optimally rated for above-ground pools and spas up to 20,000 litres. It can be used in larger pools — the electrodes will work harder and may need replacing sooner. For larger in-ground pools, we recommend the NEC-2000.

What pool size is the NEC-2000 suitable for?

The NEC-2000 is optimally rated for in-ground pools up to 60,000 litres. It can be used in larger pools — the electrodes will work harder and may need replacing sooner. Contact us if you'd like guidance for your specific pool size.

Can I use my Claritech system with an existing pool chemical regime?

Yes. Claritech systems significantly reduce the need for chlorine and other chemicals, but a small residual level of sanitiser may still be recommended. See your manual for details.
